The task is to design a material sorting conveyor system. Sorting is done manually from the conveyor belt. Material handling is performed by a conveyor system.
The material arrives at the pre-sorting station on the feed conveyor. The result of the pre-sorting is transferred to several fixed speed conveyor belts that convey the material either to the containers or to the next level sorting system. The speed of the sorting or feeding conveyors must be controlled on the basis of the mass flow measured by the belt scales built into the tracks. The system consists of 55 conveyors.
